Eight years from it's initial release, we relaunched www.brittanie.com with a new focus and fervor that most closely mirrors who I am today.
There was a time when I wouldn’t give a dollar to charity. Times change, people evolve...and I am truly sorry for many of the ignorant and judgemental statements\actions I have made as I continue to learn and grow (some of which I'm certain I made even as of today).
Not trying to convey some Pollyanna-esque image of myself here, but I don’t think any harm comes from helping about others and evangelizing causes you feel most passionately about, particularly when it benefits those in need.
Through this website, I hope to remind others about the little things that we can do to help one another make the lives of those around us just a bit sweeter:
- I’ll lend my "Not-so-America's Top Model" services if the funds are donated to charity. Click here
- Read my blog about my philanthropic activities“Brittanie's Life is Sweeter When You Give Live Space”, where I’m attempting to perform one good deed every day. (I was inspired by the show, "My Name is Earl")
- The “Miss Deeds” is a group I created of girl friends who perform monthly charitable activities together.
I’m a Vietnamese refugee and a very very grateful American.
It’s time for me to pay it forward and I welcome you to join me in making all of our lives just a bit sweeter as we give...it's a journey and a treat best shared with others.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. " - Margaret Mead, US anthropologist & popularizer of anthropology (1901 - 1978)
